Virginia, officially the Commonwealth of Virginia, is a state in the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States between the Atlantic Coast and the Appalachian Mountains. The Southeast has become the most active real estate market in the United States. Long, hot, and humid summers are a material lifestyle consideration — June through September in much of the region is genuinely intense.
